Has anyone TubeDiameter
and masurements of
the CentreStand for
750SFC?

Thanks in advance

And "Guten Rutsch" and
a happy new Year.

Totally different. They are shaped in a V to allow the pipes to tuck in. Mounting lugs on frame are inboard and no lug for side stand.
They do allow a lot more scope for exhaust configurations. I don’t miss my side stand.

I have to mount one on my new SF frame. Have a through bolt holding the brackets on through the SFC stand to layout the welding position…. way inboard.

Most are probably referring to the V-stand for the disc brake models. Those frames a so different that only a few parts are suitable to use on an SF. Mount such a stand on an SF and you will find it’s almost impossible to use, since the rear wheel will have to be lifted minimum 10 cm off the ground. A nice back breaker..

Most drum brake SFCs had the standard SF stand with only the foot lever (partially) removed.

Only the 11000 batch drum brake SFCs had a V-stand that can be used on an SF. See photo of one I finished restoring a few months ago. Note the shape of the fairing and the clean looks of the fairing nose without the 7 mounting screws that was only done on that batch, and some works racers.

Disc brake or drum brake SFC?

It is a Frame 750F, 5xxx,
that is modified by a previus Owner.

Should be the V-Stand like
this one.

Do the SFC stands flip down as do the SF stands, which makes them very easy to use? Or do they spring hard back up. I really like the way the SF stand works with the ring to the spring.

Made my own for the SFQ - used my tube bender and some mild steel 'water pipe' (similar to what the factory used!!). Lug position in relation to fwd-back-up-down is identical to the std SF - only the position inboard has changed. It's a breeze to use, I push back on thew footpeg with my lower leg (foot firmly on the ground) and it rolls on up with ease. I made mine height-adjustable so I can change suspension height or tyre profile and not end up with either the rear wheel on the ground when it's on the stand or too high to easily go up onto the stand. A few repairs and upgrades were required once on thew road.

They're very easy to use, there's simply no tang for the foot as per Rainer's photo. I can put my SFC on the stand without using my hands, just the rear of my calf against the footrest.
It rolls off the stand very simply.

Hello Rainer,
Measured on my Electronica.
Width of tube legs, 28mm
Between centre of feet, 24cm
Height from centre of mounting bolt to ground, 25 cm
Width between exterior of mounting points 6,4 cm.

The stand of the 11000 SFC has the ring and the L shaped spring holder in on the frame. On disc brake SFCs the L shaped spring holder is on the stand and the spring is attached to a small tab on the frame. Another reason why the disc brake V stand doesn’t work on an SF.

And does the higher engine of post-74 SFCs mean they have a different placement of centre stand mounting lugs, which would explain why there is a height diff when trying to use the 74 SFC stand on an SF?
