It would be cheaper to replace them. I have read posts about this before and no one managed to get it done economically.

I have recently bought 4 replacements from Mdina Italia. Even replicas at the price they are are cheaper than any refurbishment, and that is if anyone could be found to do such small quantities.

I haven't had any done myself but have always thought there must be someone out there that can do them,a little Googling found this on the net.
