It's easy enough to re-arrange the little number wheels if you don't mind taking the speedo apart. You can get new crimp rings from Marcel in Netherlands.
If you don't want to open it up, the only way to alter the odometer is by rotating the speedo cable, either backwards or forwards - works either way.
As Xav suggested, a drill will do the job. I dunno what direction you need to go so a reversing drill may be required. If you have many thousands of km to crank over, it may take quite a while. You'll be able to work out how many hours it'll take when you see what the indicated speed on the dial is when you're spinning it with the drill (time in hours = km/speed).
For example, if you need to crank over 20,000km and the drill spins the speedo up to 100kph *(see note below) it'll take 200 hours, or more than a week of continuous running. Make sure your drill is well lubricated and rated for continuous running!
* Note:
I tested a speedo (not Laverda) a while ago with an electric drill, and with the drill on high speed I think it only did about 80kph. Drills are geared down so the chuck rotates a lot slower than the armature.
You may be better off with some other type of electric motor that you can couple directly to the speedo. You can buy small DC (reversible) motors on ebay for peanuts. It'll run a lot quieter and cooler than a drill too, so won't keep the neighbours awake or burn down your shed.
