I think the buyer might be a serial Laverda bike breaker and knows the value of every part, nut and bolt on the bike.Quite, though it's important to keep a few shiny ones, even if they don't run properly for bike shows and other social events.
That machine would cost 5 times its selling price to get it good and sell for no more than £8000, and even then, without being in a hurry. And as a spares bike, it will be difficult to recoup the buying price and the buyer will be left with plenty of unwanted parts to scrap.
