Hi
This is my friend's CHOTT I said I will list for him.

He is thinking in the $12,000 region.

Well stored and videos of it running.

As he is physically restricted I said I will aid in the crate or transport side of things.

Please contact me if you need anymore info

Cool bike looks like a manual decompressor. Right sidekick should help a sale. Is that coffee table VMX mag still for sale in Oz? An add in that might help spread the word. Broadford is a mecca to display VMX bikes for sale at Easter. Good luck.

Dents way bigger in 2 stroke pipes get fixed by a pro here in Sydney. Aldertons, they cap off the expansion chamber and add compressed air then heat it up and massage it to shape. Very common from jumping over logs.

In early two strokes times some racers where suprised after an accident about additional dent power….

My fathers two stroke had a dent in the exhaust after I slid sideways into the clothes line post in the back yard, that beast went no better with a dent, than without the dent. BSA Bantom

Hang on, aren't we talking about a bike made for rugged riding of-road?! Surely rivet-counting on a Chott is getting a bit carried away. Pristine? Polished and shiny? Why?

It's the way it's done, a 100-point restoration of just about anything including minibikes. A mate recently paid 20k for a Maico, he sold his disc brake model after he finally found an earlier Drum model because it's the Holy Grail, I rode one years ago at Australia's first off-road riding park, Hungry Creek. It was so far above my ability, just starting it was scary. Very memorable thought.

Maico 490’s are the holy grail of vintage dirt bikes, with consistent easy premium prices.
Not an expert on Laverda CHOTT 250’s, but surprised at the values of them with this thread. This thread has been a learning experience.

mine didnt have a dent in the exhaust, and it belonged to Hamish before I owned it, and in any case I had a new one still in factory wrappings should it have become dented, it now lives in USA.
