Hi To all, Thank you for allowing me to join the ranks. Just purchased my First Laverda which is a Chott 250.😊 Its currently missing a right hand Side Panel:cautious: so any help in sourcing one would be greatly appreciated. Still awaiting delivery of the bike at the moment hopefully that will be soon, Tomorrow hopefully, fingers crossed!😝😝
I understand from the previous owner that the clutch housing gasket may not be of sufficient thickness to prevent the case from rubbing the end of a kickstart shaft??. Would any body know the correct thickness I should be looking for:oops: and the type of gasket originally used ie copper, paper etc.🤓

Thanking you in anticipation🤗🤗🤗

Thank you Andy. If you get some made put me down for some please. Bike was delivered today so just going through it at moment compiling a wish list. Do you have any timescales for the gaskets?

It’s on my long list of things to do, but I really do need to get it sorted. I will attempt to make contact this week and see if the project can be moved along this year.

Hello,
What is the problem with the gasket?
The thickness?..
Frank

Tony Brancanto has all the details of the Chott gaskets, and can supply them to order, this was instigated by John Faulkner a good few years ago, I had several sets, when I had the ex Slaters spares stock (Chott only) decades ago, and yes the clutch housing gasgets are too thin, I used two, but thicker ones should be easy enough to organize, I don't know if Tony is aware of the problem or not.
You may be able to buy a set or two of these gaskets from Simon Elliot in deepest Sussex at Washington, his bike shop is called ........err,.....errr, might be Washington motorcycles he bought all my Chott parts including about six gasket sets, if you cant find him give me a PM, I have his personal mobile number.
