Circlip clutch hub SF2

Need some help. Working on a SF2. I can not get the circlip in place on the main gearbox shaft that holds the clutch center hub in place. Missing ca. 0,2mm. What the best way to solve this problem? Thanks in advance

If the rubber ring (24) is there, it might be hard to push the hub far enough
in place.
Either drop it or skim the circlip.

Try fitting the circlip with the clutch drum off - if it fits in the slot you can refit the drum and circlip and gently tap with a suitable tube drift and it should compress the rubber o-ring enough to click the circlip into its groove.

The circlip fits in its groove.
I'v tried to assemble the hub with and without the O- ring. Both same result. I think the roller bearing on the shaft is not properly mounted.
What is the best way to solve? Skim the circlip, skim backside of the drum or skim the front side of the drum?

I had the same problem after an engine rebuild and fitted a thinner circlip.
Enough meat on the clip to hold the drum in place.

If the shaft bearing isn't properly mounted, it needs to be properly mounted.

Is the clutch sprocket perfectly aligned with the engine sprocket? maybe too much shim thickness or even too many shims.

In my case the bearing was the correct type, installed correctly, but 2/10 to wide.
I opted to use a thinner circlip instead of tearing the engine down again.
Has worked without any problems ever since.

I've already checked that. No problem to shim the drum and sprockets. I have enought space for the shims on the mainshaft.

Same problem here. Don`t want to tearing down the engine again.
Lesson learned next time i rebuild an engine i fit/check the hub on the axle first before i close the crankcase.

You can of course just take the bottom case off.

Wouldn't do that. If you tear the engine down one day and fix the bearing
or whatever is wrong you'll have a wobbly drum.
I'm with Gerald on this.
