Classic Bike #547

Hi all. First post on this forum, apologies in advance for gaffes in etiquette.

I am helping out a fellow vintage bike enthusiast in a search for the August 2025 issue of Classic Bike magazine.

He has the entire set from the initial issue in 1978 to the most recent.
Except #547, which has gone missing in the post, and a search by the publisher (Bauer) turned up zero unsold copies.

I am hoping someone on the forum might have a copy they would be willing to part with, or any possible sources to check out.

Unfortunately "This listing sold on Thu, 25 Sep at 9:37 AM."

I've searched the usual suspects pretty thoroughly.
You Laverda gang have made it scarcer than hen's teeth.
As an aside I owned an '81 Jota that had been sent to Breganze and moved out to 1100.
I still have the marks from kicking myself for letting it go.
 
I have it ........ It has Keith Prentice`s 100,000 mile Jota feature in it .............

You are quite welcome to it .......... Just enough to cover postage will be fine with me .... ( although no idea what that may be at the moment ... ) .........

This book struck me as I did a similar trip. I hitchhiked across Australia in January 1973, Perth to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, then back across the Nullabor to Perth. Stayed at the YMCA in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, and camped in the bush between cities. I saw Black Sabbath at Kooyong Gardens in Melbourne, got picked up by a Porsche in the Adelaide hills, then with a family for over 1000 miles in the back of an HD station wagon, and I mean the very back, not the back seat.Good rides, good people, a lot of trucks. Great time, great trip. Less than $200, nearly 4 weeks
 
Cheers 78. Had a similar experience mid-80's hitchhiking the perimeter of the North and South islands of NZ.
Never had to wait long for a lift, great folks, party invitations, picking kiwi, hostel life etc.
Good times.
