The license registration is from 1981. I think none off the dates are correct.
It was 25 years ago at the time the magazine came out.

Belonged to a friend of mine for some years, ended up with a full fairing & FZR600 seat unit, haven't seen him for several years now.
You mean this one? Is it the same bike? Can you tell me why the petroltank is different?

Yes that looks like it, I have photos of it somewhere when it had the full fairing, not sure what you mean by the petrol tank being different?
Would be nice to see those pictures.
The blue tank has space for the knees, the orange tank not.

That is how it looked when I last saw it, it did have the earlier Harris seat as per the Classic Bike photo, but I don't remember the early tank on it.
The article is a bit mixed up on its dates,from memory the owner says he took it to the TT in 1979, but the bike was not UK registered until 1980.
