Once dried out the only way a clock will continually fog is if the rubber seals under the glass and crimp ring are not doing their job. Pull the idiot light holders out and dry the clock thoroughly. Refit the rubber bulb holders and  they should be fine. If they fog again after rain etc i suspect the seals.

You can see here if the rubber bungs are in these four holes the unit should be pretty well rain and condensation proof but it needs to be dry in the first place

Not taking sides here just trying to offer a solution  ::)

It's a characteristic of the ND clocks indeed, whether these are restored or not. Moisture is caused by a physical behaviour of water in cold and warm environments.

In addition to your great tips: ALWAYS store the clocks with the glass upwards to avoid that the damper oil leaks from the damper on the face or internal mechanism. Oil leakage will cause an oiled face plate and/or a slow/inaccurate working clock.

Another tip is to use LED lights. These produce less heat.

I just received my tacho back from CB750faces after I wrecked it with my ham-fisted attempt at restoration. It looks great. Will have to wait till after Christmas now to finish assembling the bike and see that it all works ok.
