CLQ Inaugural Jimmy Run

At the start of this year when Club Laverda QLD was setting its ride calendar, Jimmy was very keen to have a run along the Gwydir Hwy to Jackadgery where it crosses the mighty Mann River.
The general store at Jackadgery does fuel, alcohol, food and cabins. Simple, just talk nicely with Tammy.
It was set for November 25-26 and Jimmy was happy.

As some may recall back in May, tragically, CLQ lost our good mate Jimmy while he was riding his SF twin down to the NSW Brass Monkey Run.

On Saturday, up along the New England Tablelands the weather turned wet and chilly.
The ride dropping down the range on the Gwydir Hwy was very wet, chilly, low cloud, challenging.
And again, one asked oneself, 'Do you feel lucky? Well, do you, punk?'
And yes, one did, and for some odd reason I took way more risk than I care to dwell on.
So, the oldest and smallest capacity Laverda pulled into Jackadgery ahead of the pack.
Thank you Jimmy.
Into the late evening, out the front of The Shack, during our CLQ drinks and dribble session, we all agreed that Jimmy was riding and laughing with us that day.
Next year we will be back and do it again with Jimmy as he is sadly missed by all.
RIP Jimmy

Thanks for the report Mark.
Great to see Jimmy acknowledged in such a way. Seffie obviously joined in with spirit !

We in CLNSW should put it on our weekend away schedule for 2024.
Jimmy helped many of us thru Red with major electrical item rebuilds.
