Club Laverda NSW brekky run 10th January 2021

With any luck restrictions will be eased, and the weather will be great!

Meet 7.30 for an 8am departure at the 7/11 servo at Berowra.

Going via the Old rd, up to Sommersby, dog trap rd to Ourimba, Yaramalong Valley, then up to Kulnura and on to Laguna.  Brekky at the Great North Rd store.

See you there

Marty

It?s official the Nth Beaches Mafia are out of lockdown so bet Tom and Pete are raring to go might have a problem keeping up with them today as they should be like a couple of young stallions champing at the bit... shame my Jota has been sent to the do not bring category.....I mean really you would think things would last a bit more than 45 years ... do ya think can get warranty  :o :o :o

Bring it on, we had a top day yesterday with the CIMAA crew ... three Laverda?s and even a yellow Norton...  :o but we couldn?t match the Guzzi or Ducrappy numbers... but then again had Ben brought one of his Lav?s instead of his snorton  Norton who knows we might just have been in for a show...  8)

Ride went well, the only downside was Nick and me got RBTed heading home on the hill heading up to the PITS on The Old Rd. What a bloody spot to set up an RBT site. At least the young cop was pleasant asking me how old the bike was and how long had I owned it. His older fully Tattooed mate was less friendly, Nick got him.

I missed the rbt by 1 bike, and had a good fang up the hill. 9 starters ?  Bit disappointing the restricted menu at Laguna, I was looking forward to a big feed. Oh well.  Great run.

So what was the sweet taste in the Egg and Bacon Roll, the bun or something else, it was ok-ish. I stopped at the Pie in the Sky and bought some pies to eat at home. Very nice as usual

Yep, I got the miserable copper, but then I didn't start a good old chat with him unlike Vince  . I think I had the slowest ever run south along OPH, following a Hayabusa at precisely the speed limit (60kph), although he had the amusing habit of going into the knee down position for the corners.

As for food choices I had a very nice mushroom burger. I can hear the howls of meat eating  derision...

I think its worth noting that Pete, from the the NBM chose not to ride with his Laverda buddies  :o but instead head out with his oh so ho hum BMW buddies ::)
Ended up with two less points and a $270 fine.
John Lennons instant Karma does come to mind
:-* Pete.

Oh and Chris Brett and I had a lovely ride back to Bretts, unscheduled "pit" stop for Bretty boy at Spencer, then on to Laverda NSW HQ for a good cup
of coffee and chit chat in B town.
Lovely.
:)

Good roll up indeed and Tom fresh out of lockdown and all that delegated well and got a good ride planned out... oh well perhaps if Pete had chosen to ride with the Laverda group instead of giving priority to his damn BMW mates then maybe would have been a different story... so Pete think its about time to sell ya Lav to someone who will use it  :P
So had to take the Red 3C as the Jota is banned by club inspector for hmmm

Not ideal both damn sides as well, would think it would last longer than 46 years only a slight issue but me thinks it will polish out  (argue1)

Nice ferry trip poor old Tom had to sit behind the only thing worse than a chinese car and that is a Toyota... shh don't mention the damn war  :o

Top day spoilt only by a crook gut on the trip back bloody Rosa's kitchen me thinks.
Vince twas Tomato relish on ya burgers son and it was on the sweet side I guess  :P

Does Chris (AKA El Pres, AKA Woody) still need help putting his pants on or has he learned to do it himself now?  :D

Love the little yellow car. I've lusted after one of those since I first saw a Lotus Super 7 many years ago. Totally impractical vehicle (like a bike I suppose) but a lot of fun.

We passed the Old Rd photo taker, and thanks to Habib he let me know who that Photographer was, there are a few pics on the Pesti Pictures Facebook site in the last bunch they took on that day. BTW this is my first photo posted, much easier now.

It seems this Photographer isn't appreciated, he received a parking infringement today from a passing Hwy Patrol car and ordered to move on.
