So, coolish heading out at 20 past 6am. Pushing my bike out of the shed and across the shin-high Buffilow grass with sodden soil underneath just about bust my poofle valve, so much rain lately Zero traffic, lovely. I arrived way way early, as usual, then Tom turned up, the 2 farthest away arrive first and 2nd. It looked very threatening weather and cloud wise, and we had a few tiny sprinkles of well you couldn't say rain. Quite cold at Roberson up in the Southern Highlands, I even turned on the heated grips for a while. The mid-morning sun finally arrived and it warmed up nicely to the predicted 26c. How's this for a list of top local bike roads, the back way to Stanwell Tops, Mt Osley twice, Kangaroo Valley twice and Macquarie Pass twice and home via The Princess Hwy which wasn't too bad for traffic for a change. I noticed 2 and possibly 3 mobile speed camera cars with none of the recently promised returning off warning signs to be seen. Hope we lucked out with that SHIT. The food was great, I eat sparingly to my shame. The Poached eggs and sausage were top notch. All in all a great days ride, Gold Medal to the stunning America Eagle out for its first club ride, it's a stunning bike. Shame Chrises new bike didn't give it some competition.
