Well, almost a total no-show from the club, Brett has an excuse due to racing in QLD, maybe we need a new format? Mid month brekky run and end of month weekend away has been ok for 20 years.

There is hardly any riding members left, think I'll start a new club, Laverda bench racers club......

I might get a medical clearance in a couple of weeks after a visit to the local respiratory clinic. Some investigation is being done into breathlessness when exercising. Hearts ok, had a CT scan to get a Calcium Number and a Stress Eco and ultasine with a cardiologist, and now moving on to lungs, 50 years in Construction, so hoping it's not work environment related.

Keep the faith Moose Man......keep putting the rides under their noses, they will see the sense in it ;)

Too bad I'm no longer in Sydney from a motorcycle perspective. Id be turning up for ride with me mates.
The problem I have down here is that I don't have anyone to ride with and not a lot of roads to ride. Not interested in riding the main road so that leaves me my test track out the back. Return ride to Peaceful Bay and back is about 100 clicks. No cops so can be fast as your game. Most of my riding is forestry tracks on my old GS1000BM.
Now that is always fun. Can ride 100s kms and not see another vehicle.

Rob,
Was travelling in traffic on the inside lane, car in front, car on side, car behind all travelling at 70 klm when a block of wood shot out from one of the cars and clipped the front wheel sending me off up an embankment and into a tree. Didn't see the wood at all, just remember fighting the bike with a flat front tyre. Happened just before Tom Uglys. The only section where there is a short embankment in between steel fencing, Prefer the tree to the steel , at least still got 2 working legs even if one is still inflamed.

Well that's shit out of luck Chris.
We're getting too old to be hitting trees.
What bike were you riding?
Much damage?
Hope for a quick recovery.
Take care

Very bad scene, Chris! I hate to be flippant re a history such as yours, but any more tree hugging and you'll be given an Honorary PhD in Arborism!

Absolutely nothing you can do in a situation like that - it's in the hands of the gods. Fukn scary. Hope the ailments ease and cure quickly.

Shyza, Vince. I hope they can get to the bottom of it and clean you up pronto without too much fuss. A mate who had the same symptoms tunred out to have odd lumps in his lungs - they were able to completely dissolve them with meds. They said that was 90% of the cause of the breathlessness.

Then he had the quad bypass for the heart issues they discovered at thew same time! A super-fit mongrel he is too - almost hyperactive (in his mid-late 60s).

On a positive note after a close inspection I can honestly say that the Shot-Head Borer Beetle hasn't made it to Sydney yet Quinton.

Riding the Triumph Thruxton R Rob, not too much damage considering. Fairing smashed, front mudguard in the bushes, dented tank, headlight shell cracked (plastic) and front rim slightly out of shape where it hit the block, being tubeless doesn't hold air. Hopefully we can get it rolled back into shape.
