Club Laverda NSW last brekky run for the year

I just rang Kim at Gray Gums, they're only open on the weekends at the moment. I had heard that a while back but thought time had fixed it
 
At Marty's suggestion, I rang back and Kim is doing a ring around for staff and will confirm if it's a goer in an hour. Top Lady our Kim. At the moment it's 7 starters, lets make it worth her while and get some numbers coming along. She has had a shocker of a couple of years, Fires Floods and Covid multiple times causing long periods of closer would break most. Even a lost kid, the one found after 4 days from memory, yep that lost kid was just up the road from them
 
It looks like a private visit to Gray Gums is off, I haven't heard back. I rethunk my situation, I don't get my booster for 2 weeks and it takes a while to kick in, I was prepared to risk a ride with a minimum number mingling but with Omicron going crazy it's all too complicated now so I am out for this one. Marty is making an alternative plan so have fun and be safe.
 
Change of plans as Grey Gums is not open, meet 8.15 for 8.30 at Berowra 7/11 servo, heading up the old Rd, calga, and the Great Northern Trading Post at Laguna for brekky. Either straight return, or loop around to the putty. See you there.
 
So another lovely ride at state sanctioned speed limits...
Double D's preventing anything more.
Good turn up and managed to find another unknown 81 Jota owner at the Great Northern Trading Post. (y)

Marty, Will and Ross heading off down the valley to some sort of sleep over :unsure:
While the rest of us headed home via Pie in the Sky.

Was that a fully luggaged up dress rehearsal for the circumnavigation, Marty?
How are you getting on with the twin? Hopefully you can get to actually do the trip with all the chinavirus complications that keep cropping up.
 
Yep, planning on trying again last weekend of july. New waterproof pannier bags turned today. 750 is now pretty well sorted, another 500 ish k's, no issues, the new solid state regulator is doing its thing.
 
Actually just looked at the map of where we went, more like 700 km. Bike should run 100,000 km easy, cruising at 3500 at 100km/h, with the lazy gearing, 14000km round Oz should be easy. Which bike are you bringing cam?
 
I have responsibilities at home. Who would feed the cat if I went away on a road trip?
Besides, I don't think my old bones would cope with long days on a bike. It would have to be fitted with a nice comfy armchair.
 
Ok so that's sorted, your bringing the z1300 with the sidecar, you and the cat in the chair, I'll find you a pilot😁. Other thought I had was Tim's 3c with the special touring seat.....

The Z1300 is quite comfortable. It has a big plush seat and relaxed riding position. It's a bit like driving a truck though.
I also have a small trailer for it (no wider than the outfit itself) so can carry a lot of camping gear, including a portable 12V fridge.
Only problem with the Kawasaki on a long trip is that it's very thirsty for fuel. That's bearable on a small island like Tassie, but it would give my wallet a severe hiding on a trip around the north island.
