Club Laverda NSW Rego Day and AGM 28/11/21

Classic Italian Motorcycle Association of Australia (CIMAA) club plate rego day and bbq. To be held at the usual place, Silverwater Park, Silverwater, in the carpark. Always a great day, kicking off at 8.30. If you need a rego inspection, try and be there before 10.30. I will organise the coffee van again.
 
Trevor the coffee guy is once again making us all free coffees. Just show your membership card to get yours. The bacon and egg rolls that scotty and his mates slap up are the bomb! See you there.
 
What a top morning, rain kept way, for once in the past 3 weeks :rolleyes:
Coffee van turned up and the CIMAA guys put on a great morning BBQ spread.
Good turn up of Lavs, seamed to me more Lavs than Ducati's, but whos counting.
Tom The Wrecker drove all the way from the nations capital to say hi, nice work TC (y) (y)

had a small gathering at our workshop today as well, 4 Italians and a Truck
Paul's Rosie, Dave's hot rod Series 2 x 1200 and an 80 Jota, all fresh builds, plus an Italian car
My Truck photo bombed the photo shoot at the end, not Italian but at least it is Australian made

A long term mate bought his 1982 SS Bevel to the day, he recently bought another and took it for its first ride today and had an interesting story occur. He attempted the Wisemans Spencer ride today and only got as far as the big hill out past Spencer. It just died, so he was pushing it along this narrow bush road with zero phone reception to hopefully the next house when he was passed first by a Cop bike and a minute later a Hwy Patrol car. Neither stopped to ask how he was. It's pretty remote out there and for 2 cops to completely ignore someone in trouble is pretty pathetic. He knocked on the door of the first house he got to and they allowed him to hide the bike behind his house and gave him a lift 30ks up the road to a shop wither his phone worked and he could organise a rescue. I thought it was worth mentioning that even on a Monday there was a cop presence out there for any who do mid-week rides in that direction. I also found it interesting that you might think Bike Cops would have an interest in helping out in a case like this, apparently not.
 
My (fortunately very limited) experience with bike cops is that they are the absolute worst. Could be the small sample size, or not....
I also hate it that 2 police would just ignore someone in obvious distress, not only that but if pushing a bike along the side of the road, logic would say that is a far greater danger (to the boke pushing the bike, and to other road users) than someone going 5ks over the limit. Helping him out could have prevented a serious accident.
Yeah... nah. Just troll for the easy money.
 
Or they could have stopped, and given him a fine for jaybikin'
Same procedure around my waters, so could be a bit universal.
