Club Laverda NSW Snowy Rally 2024

This year we are going back to a good old hub rally. Something we haven't done for 30 years! We will be staying at the Kookaburra Ski Lodge at 10 Clyde st Jindabyne. 0264562897. Ring Brenda directly to book your rooms for the 3 nights.

Day 1
Thursday 7th November
Leaving the Caltex servo at Heathcote 8.30am, highway to Albion Park. Macquarie Pass, Wilde's Meadow, Kangaroo Valley, Norwa for coffee at Espresso boys Doughnuts, (not hyper hyper coffee) Braidwood lunch. Queanbeyan for fuel. Cooma Jindabyne.

Day 2
Friday 8th
Coast loop
Dalgety, Bombala, morning tea, Imlay Rd, Eden lunch, Pambula, Wyndham, Candelo, Bemboka, Nimmitabel, afternoon tea, Dalgety, jindy. Dinner Italian restaurant.

Day 3
Saturday 9th
Mountain loop
Dead horse gap, Khancoban, Tumbarumba lunch, Elliot way, Cabramurra, Kiandra, Adamidaby, Berridale, Jindy.

Day 4
Sunday 10th
Berridale, coffee, Adamidaby, fuel, Tumut, Gundagai, lunch. Harden, Boorowa.

Club Laverda NSW finalising the Snowy rally today, if you haven't booked or haven't told me you're booked let me know. Currently have Dave K, Chris P, John K and Peter S, plus me and Joel. Sunday night has changed from Oberon to Boorowa. I hear there is always a rush on nail parlours 2nd weekend in November, so you may as well come riding instead

The road from nimmitabel through to Dalgety has about 5km of dirt, but it is easy and well graded. About 450km today

5 laverdas at the start. Royal Enfield and Yamaha are the other 2 bikes. Motel had a big group of other riders there. Off to the mountains today. No rain forecast but it is 6 degrees and cloudy this morning.

Thoroughly recommend the Boorowa hotel, great feed, good sleep. Heading home to beat the rain

There is a bunch of stuff I could write about, like why I almost went on this ride into some remote places without a functional phone, or what snacks we ate along the way, possibly Scones, or why after 18 months of fiddling with my insanely expensive rear shocks, I finally solved why any clicker changes didn't have any effect but do now. But I do not want to offend anyone and get ANOTHER post deleted. I wonder how long this post will last.
