At the moment we're looking for attendee numbers, accommodation can be difficult at this time so we need numbers asap.

Old Highway, then join the expressway to Albion Park.

Just saw that the road past Falls Creek has a very big slow-moving landslide with a mass exitus out of the ski resort. So much for that day's ride.
 
Do call in, not far from town, neighbours could do with a good "bikie gang" in the street, a more dangerous bunch i could not think of.... if it works out, can of course see you lot on the main road also. j.
 

Dargo High Plains Road​

  • The Dargo High Plains Road seasonal closure will be extended until Friday, 23 December 2022 to allow for major upgrade works.
  • Works will include road formation upgrades, gravel re-sheeting, culvert and drainage.
  • It is anticipated that current weather conditions may delay the commencement of works and traffic management will be in place after Friday, 23 December while the remaining works are carried out.
  • Please expect minor delays once the road is open.
  • The current estimated completion date for the Dargo High Plains Road Upgrade Project is March 31, 2023.

Bogong High Plains Road​

 
All I could find was what I posted,its closed for major road works till Dec sometime. It similar to the NSW road website, an absolute pain in the arse to use. Once these roads have a slip in steep country it usually takes months to rebuild them.

Bonang and Omeo Hwy report

I rode the trusty Kwaka Z900RS from Canberra to Bairnsdale on Friday via the Bonang Hwy and came back on Sunday via the Omeo Hwy and Alpine Way. The weather gods smiled and I stayed dry. All the roads were in good nick. Very few potholes or loose stones on the pavement. I washed the front...

That to me is talking about the dargo Rd, not the Bogong rd.

If you type in Bogong highway into Google maps, it doesn't exist. High plains Rd is there.
