Russ, if you are changing from Hydraulic to cable, because of damage to the hydraulic cover, I will buy the damaged item, if we can agree on price

Hello Clem, only ever had a clutch cable on mine.
At the moment I have the DAM actuator fitted and now wanted to try just the longer actuator which means cutting the cover. As I don't want to modify my original I have bought another one from Peder. I do have another one that I got free, however, it was repaired at sometime in it's life and quite honestly is "rough as guts" . You are welcome to it if it helps. Will send you some photos.

one I modified and repaired is currently on ebay item 295116964856 (just type the number in the search box) cut on a mill with a barely big enough slot (very neat) and the adjuster bung plated and welded up to give back some strength, (which is definately needed if you slot the top)

your "rough as guts" cover will be most gratefully accepted and will have an attempt at repair made.
your costs covered of course Russ

No need to cut the slot right through to the bung hole - just requires a little finesse and the slot can be quite inconspicuous - and a lot prettier than the DAM 'no-cut' lever.

That cover will spruce up very nicely with a session with walnut shells by your local blaster.

I think my DAM lever is 'pretty' :Dsure as hell beats cutting up:eek: a perfectly good Laverda cover. My only regret... big sigh, is not getting the lever with a bottle opener built into it:LOL:

I will attempt to get that back Russ
but you never know what you are going to find under the welding, very much a case of "we will see" once its burred off.
