Hi
Is it possible to get the clutch chain wheel off the clutch drum at home without
factory tools, or do i need to send it away to been done?

                  THANKS RUSS.

You'll need to grind the heads off the rivets to take the plate then gear off.
Rivet holes will need to be tapped to 6mm to accept screws for reassembly.

Russ,

When removing the rivets, do NOT simply drive them out after grinding off the heads!

Grind off the heads, carefully centre punch them and drill a 4-4.5mm hole in each, depending on how precise you hit the centre, about 15mm deep.  Drive them out carefully with a slender punch.  This will reduce the interference fit of the rivet a little and prevent it from cracking the alloy posts on the drum when being driven through them.

The bores in the posts are a bit large for M6 thread, but if you cut carefully, a satisfactory result can be achieved.  Otherwise, you could Time-sert the bores for M5 or M6, or cut M7 from the outset.
