Does anyone know or have the ability to measure how much the push rod sticks out from the end of the the counter shaft spline??

That would be a S1 motor with cable clutch

Cheers
Rob

Rob there was a huge tread on this,Paul was looking at it a while back.It had the total length of the rods and ball bearing and the size you are after in it.The length of these rods needs to be within a mil or 2 to work. And the ends need to be case hardened.Lots of presure and quick wear if there 2 soft.

Rob, what you need is a clutch push-rod that sticks out exactly the right amount. If it's too long it'll stick out too far, to short and it won't stick out enough. I've found this to be a reliable guide.

I hope I've been helpful. If not, I blame alcohol.  :D

Cheers,
Cam

the message I dug out from Mark from da canefields said 11mm for a cable clutch after he fixed his

before that Piet gave the individual pushrod measurements -

Pushrods for cable operation, 123.5mm.
        Pushrods for hydraulic operation, 133.5mm.
