Hi, I have a 1979 (V plate) Laverda Jota that spent many years in a box. The bike had a silver frame and wheels with orange petrol and tank/side panels. I have started getting the frame and wheels assembled and close to painting. Can anyone please tell me the colours codes (if they ever existed) for the above and if the frame and wheels are a different silver. If the finish was matt/gloss/or other. Also any advice on coating such as two pack, stove, plastic coating or other. Thanks, David Jones

As per paint chart RAL 9006 White Aluminium for the frame and wheels gloss, follow the chart for tank orange RAL 2010 I think it is.
Can only really comment on what I have used or had done regarding paint types etc.
The Wheels I had powder coated RAL 9006 by a car wheel refurbishing company, from what I remember they had to buy the RAL colour in and wet sprayed it over a powdered base coat then lacquered on top, either way a stunning job and still looking fab.

I used 2k aerosols mixed the same colour to blow in the rear of my frame when I first got it then lacquered on top of that still looks good, and finally two pack paint was used by my neighbour to respray my fairing after they dropped my bike doing its final M.O.T!

hope this helps somewhat David
