When we were kids we used to play about on the target ranges on the Gower Peninsular, (across from Pendine Range) kicking/chucking, "dud" shells around etc, we thought nothing of it then, "GULP!"
When I was a kid we used to go out to a WWII practice range just west of Swift Current SK to collect practice mortar shells. I assume they were filled with sand, not explosive. Hope so 'cause I've had one sitting on my bookshelf for many years now!

Hi Liz, I get the big males turning up every year to service my female kangaroos. Mostly they stay at a safe distance and bolt when I turn up but last year I had one that wasn't to afraid of me and hung around the shed and when I'd walk out he'd rear up on his legs and tail and growl at me. I resorted to having to grab the long handled spade everytime I walked out of the shed. He was becoming such a threat I considered having my mate come around with his gun to deal with him. He nearly killed my oldest girl, serious rough sex , she ended up with a broken foot, couldn't walk for about a month and lost heaps of weight. Ended up having to give her antibiotic injections and feed her up. She would've died in the wild. She's ok now but her foot still isn't right.
Expecting the males to turn up again anytime now as it that time for her to get serviced again. Hope that bugger from last year doesn't show. Those big males have seriously big abbs and a 6 pack. If they got their arms around you they could easily kill you Fantastic animals though and I like having the female kangaroos around.
