Pin back your lug 'oles....

I think there were 2 of them 6 years ago in SPA at Bikers classic. The sound/vibration they emitted was bone shattering... terrible.... wouldn't be able to stand it for long... the warming up of the bikes was a pain already... similar to the Laverda V6 if you stand behind it...

There is some debate re the speed the bikes are doing in the vid, here is some info from another site disputing this claim being made by someone linking to the media
pushing some anti bike info.

Quoted from another site

Since there has been a challenge from a numpty that the bikes were doing 85-100kph (he is a Batchelor of Engineering, too) I checked the datum points used from the video, checked the distances claimed, and rode the 54 metres at a steady 60kph indicated (57kph GPS readout). This took almost exactly the same 3 seconds as the crash video, so I think we can say that the bikes were at or below the posted speed limit (within indicated speedometer errors).

A lucky Guy ...

I keep seeing there TV car shows where they drag race with the helmet chin strap clearing not done up, in this case a not to effective at the least minimum 4 point harness not working so well. Very lucky fellow

Very lucky fellow

It always seems a bit odd to me when people say that someone who had a nasty crash is lucky. If he was lucky he wouldn't have crashed in the first place. Now he's going to have a big repair bill, so he's worse off now than before.

OK, I understand the meaning - given that he was involved in a crash, he was lucky to escape serious injury. But it still seems kind of quirky to me.

Its not good the car is destroyed but with half his body hanging out of the windscreen instead of strapped to a race seat. Reminded me of when I was a kid and the radio reports of the driver being through clear. Saw something similar with Jay Leno as a passenger in a drag
car. No mesh on his window and in that roll his arm came close to being out and rolled on. I will see if I can find it.

Well not unlike the deluded people that thank god when they survived when the rest of their family was killed by the tsunami/earthquake.....pick your disaster here..

I like it, but he doesn't look quite tall enough for the stretch over the tank to the bars...
