OK this is small sauce. But I really like the fact that my 3C has the original wiring and these 8mm wide, thin plastic ties holding the wires in place. I hate to cut them, so I'm trying my best to separate with finesse. Maybe a waste of time. I am cleaning the bike up as best I can, and that means I have a choice - cut and replace... but with what? Or....
I wondered, how about scanning and 3D printing something with flexible filament? Unless there's a source of these that I'm unaware of, I'll get my son and his pals with the equipment & know-how to scan and make some. Here's hoping. This pic is one that I was able to pick open w/o damage. I am going overboard a bit, I know. But I dislike generic zip ties all over my bikes. On my Japanese bikes, I always saved the aluminum ones with the rubber coating to avoid zip-tie carnage.
