Copper Exhaust seals

No worries Terry - I owe you a Tooheys Old for that one...  Just trying to get a decent quote to ship my SF2 to Adelaide and back whilst I'm there for four days in June (14-17th).  If I get it together, how about a run witht he SA boys on the Saturday or Sunday?  No go with bike hire down that way, so see what we can come up with regarding transport.  I've got the days off so thought I'd do a bit of exploring whilst my wife does her work.  Not sure if I can get to KI and back in a day to catch up with some abalone diving mates, but see what happens.

Will be glad to catch up, be sure to wear a bright Laverda t-shirt so we won't miss you ;). Should be able to make it in a day to and from KI, by air. Would be pushing it to do it in a day by road/ferry.
Haven't got a spare bike to lend I'm afraid, othewise you would be welcome.

Terry

Ah crap, hope you haven't ordered them already! Mine just turned up and they're the wrong size, they're 2mm too big, tried them in the exhast port and yep don't fit. At least I only have to send them back across town!

ONLY KIDDING, THEY'RE FINE :)

Our old bikes sometimes get off the ground with a bit of spirited riding. But if anyone gets enough altitude to bother FAA, then compliance with Form 8130 (whatever that is) will be the least of their worries.  :D

I hope you guys remembered to get the FAA form 8130, otherwise you're grounded!
Aircraft Spruce are also useful for aircraft spares, help to keep my 34 year old Piper airborne... :D

I'm thinking of getting a helicopter.....

I received an update from Aircraft Spruce re the gasket order.

They'd sold some of their stock by the time I'd place the order and had to re-stock, so there's a bit of a delay. They will ship them at the end of next week - around 3 May.

Thanks Cam. Was starting to think to myself 'Self, haven't heard anything about those gaskets for a while'.

Seems only a couple of weeks ago that I was wandering around Broadford trying to beg a copper exhaust gasket from anybody who might have one. Now I'm the proud owner of 327 of the bloody things - enough for 109 Laverda triples!

I tried one in my spare head (see signature below) and it fits perfectly.

I'll buy a bunch of padded mail bags tomorrow and package them up for folks who want them. I'll mail them out on Wednesday and email everyone with costs.

Cheers,
Kryten
