Copper washer?

Howdy All,
Just refitted the lower case, having trouble remembering where the second copper washer goes. think I got it right, not 100% sure though :-\

There only seems to be 1 stud hole that is also a oil gallery, the rest of the studs are blind, unless I'm missing something.

you are right about the one stud in that area, carrying oil, the other copper washer is so that both sides of the bearing react in the same way when heat makes thing change size.

You were correct with your first pic, that is where the factory put them!

Have not yet found out exactly why the 2nd washer is under one of the gearbox studs, must be a reason for it though...

Thanks Piet, thought it came from there but wasn't 100% sure. That's where it is at the moment so will leave it there then. All I have to do know is change that nightmare and hellishly expensive head for the spare I got sometime ago. Hopefully that will be the end of all issues the motor keeps throwing at me.
If anything else goes wrong again the Motodd will end up on evilbay!! It has finally done my head in!!
 
Now with the rebuilt gearbox and replacement head what can possibly go wrong now :o Wouldn't know how to sell anything on evilbay so can't see that happening, so it will probably just end up as a static display :D
