Covid Jab

Just been for a Covid Jab here in the UK, booked on line, it was all done out the back of a little corner Chemist Shop, you get a choice of locations when you book.
Line of people standing in the cold rain, Army on the door, booking number and temperature checked by them, 3 people at a time into a a back room with two side offices, some questions about allergies, one girl per person on a computer, one girl per person giving the jab, they tell you which one you are getting (no choice) a few seconds later it's done and you are on you way out of the back door into the rain. One person every five minutes seven days a week.
I sort of marvelled at the simplicity and lack of fuss and at how everyone involved was professional and good humoured. It was the AstraZeneca jab I was given and it soon has an effect with aches etc beginning and a general rough feeling.
I was determined to avoid any vaccine for as long as possible but I realised there won't be any travel without it so I caved in.
So this is a first step in getting back down to see my girlfriend 💃 who is stuck in Portugal and maybe see my BFN mates again (y)(y)(y)

Goodonya pf1, about the roll-out of the vaccine here in Aus, fortunately we haven't been impacted as much as you mob up north. Stay safe.

Not my turn yet! I'm only 58 and no chronic illness, but I am a key worker.
My employer is making noises about all staff getting vaccinated, but haven't gone the compulsory route (yet).
I expect Covid passports are on the way.

The vaccine supply situation in Europe seems to have settled down too, after a chaotic few weeks of nastiness.
The UK is now looking at sharing vaccines around the world, which makes sense.

One of our fellow forum members has sorted me out, thanks.
Your apology to him, made him feel so warm and fuzzy, he was compelled to do a good deed for me.

See, what goes around, comes around.
Ha ha! and there's me laying awake at nights worrying about your rearsets!

I had my vaccine four weeks ago (jab 1),
me and my mate Grizzie have jointly written to the PM, we are suggesting that anyone who is entitled to and refuses an NHS Covid 19 vaccine, should also be refused NHS treatment if he/she contracts it a later date and referred to the private sector, I dont suppose he will read it, or that a reply will even get generated.

Actually it’s because I felt bad I may have sniped you out of them! And I’m an all round good guy.

Prepare for a couple of days off if the effect is anything like mine Simon, quite a lot of muscle pain and a general under the weather feeling. Bit like a giant hangover without the headache.
Clem, there are enough dictators running the show at the moment, they don't need any help from us.

I'm supposed to get it for work ...... as I occasionally fly medevac flights the local health authority asked for me to be vaccinated. Unfortunately my age and home address do not comply with the provincial requirements so I keep getting refused. The rate they are vaccinating in Canada I should get it by September .............. 2022.
