I assume the gear was heat treated at the factory. The silver soldering will have removed any hardness on the gear where it cracked. May not be a problem? If I was going to repair it, I would probably have shrunk a steel ring over the gear to close up the crack. Holding it on to the wheel with Loctite is fine.
