Are new 1000  standardliners ready to use with new standard pistons ? or must they be bored and honed before fitting the new pistons ?

always best to hone to desired piston to bore clearance after the liners are fitted to the cyl assy

New liners generaly come rough bored, they need to be fitted, finish bored then honed before use.

Also wise to check the fit of the top spigot.  Easy to machine them to correct size before fitting.
