Club Laverda NSW Dalgety Pub weekend, February 24-25, 2024.
We are going to overnight at the Buckley's Crossing Hotel in Dalgety, on Saturday the 24th February. I need to get numbers Asap so we can plan for this awesome mini snowy ride.

Please let me know asap if you are a definite.

Yesterday travelled by car from Canberra to Jervis bay via Oallen Ford / Nerriga Rd. I’ve not travelled this way for a year. The road is AWFUL. I’d say dangerous. Not only broken surface but some radical bumps and hollows where trucks have pushed it all outa shape but also cars caravans swerving to avoid.
If you do go that way on 2 wheels be very careful and take the road warnings seriously

We go Kangaroo Valley, Nowra, Nerriga Rd to Braidwood so a different direction that has a bit of dirt road included. They love painting around road damage out there and erecting a Damaged road sign that stays there for years. That damage probably happened from that huge rain event a couple of years back and still hasn't been repaired.
 
A few days ago I rode from Bungendore to Cooma, then Jindabyne, Thredbo, back to Jindy, then Barry Way to Dalgety and on to Bombala. I thought all roads were OK. From Bombala to Pambula via Mt Darragh rd, nearly dropped it twice in a kilometre just past Cathcart where there are big bits of mud across the road. It looks like a few small streams or springs have ruined the pavement and lots of mud is the result. Enjoy the Dalgety ride, unfortrunately I will be on holidays.

Hope you are ready to ride boys! After a 400km day yesterday, I'm feeling rough and needing some saddle time.

Meeting 8.15am for an 8.30am start at the Ampol Heathcote. Regroup at hyper hyper coffee Nowra. Lunch in Braidwood. Can't wait! The road through Rugby on the way home has been fixed. So Sunday will involve some great roads.
 
Jealous of you guys having a weekend Laverda run on some of the best roads in Oz.
Over here in Laverda exile I'm usually the only laverda rider usually riding on my own!!!

Yeah, mate, I rode through Joshua Tree National Park last week (just down the road) with 3 BMWs. Pinto Road awesome road from 29 Palms downhill to Chirraco summit. Sitting on 80-100kph never touching the brakes for over 100 curves posted at 55-70, cruising, trippy scenery never fails to impress. We did ride up the hills from Chirraco to 29 Palms as a prelude to the downhill blast, watch out for the Kamikaze coyotes. ps. I will probably crash trying to miss a coyote, roadrunners are fair game.
 
Carlos mate from the Southern Highlands, yes I have missed the last 2 rides. Domestic issues and crazily enough both Laverdas are having Ignision issues. Last weekend I tried to use the Atlas for the Kangarro Valley Ride, it wouldn't start for the first time so I bumped it down the big hill outside my house. Then for the next 45 minutes, it would fire and run for 5 minutes and then stop including right in the middle of the Lane Cove Tunnel, which was really scary. I am hoping it's an intermittent failure of the ignition switch. We will see. The 3c had on 2 occasions done the same as the Atlas, I am hoping that's sorted but I need to test it for a good hour to be sure. I absolutely hate inflicting intermittent bike issues on others in group rides, hope it's all getting sorted.
 
You'd be in Laverda exile as well Dave. My nearest Laverda would be in Denmark, lovely late 80 series 2 Jota and the ex Ziggi 750 race bike. He has so many bikes I've never seen it on the road. He did race the 750 last year for one event but complained it was slow compared to his Rob North framed Rocket3 race bike. It has a standard SF3 motor in it. Actually it was Phil Briggs SF1 that he sold to Ziggi and the SF1 motor is the one sitting in my shed that I brought from Phil back in 1978.
 
Doesn't look like Carlo to me unless he has grown or had a hair transplant. I'm thinking Ian Mckeller who I brought a fucked set of 4c cams from and now reground to Axtel specs that my Motodd loves. Haven't seen Ian since beginning of the century and he sort of disappeared from the NSW Lav scene for the duration of my time in Sydney. Great bloke he was too!!
 
Not Carlo, Carlos MATE. He rides some kind of Japanese 4, UJM. I forget his name. He is very regular on club rides.
 
Universal Japanise Motorcycle, typically 4-cylinder 600cc to 1000cc.I think it's a Yamaha. Hard to tell apart. He is keen, from Mitagong I think so he does a couple of hrs just to get to the start of rides.
