Dam easy clutch installing on 180 1200 , portruding pushrod length

Hi guys, I have a portruding pushrod length of 15mm on my Laverda 1200 when the dam easy clutch instructions say it should be 11mm ...how do I sort this as I understand that both ends are hardened so it's not just a matter of shortening it? The clutch was built by Keith so everything will be ok at the clutch basket end I'm hoping

15 mm is very surprising.

Depends where one measures from Paul, the indent on the shaft where the oil seal sits which is recessed or the end of the shaft which is 12mm...I dry fitted it , tentatively pulled the lever a few times , the excess length sticking out was absorbed and all's well with it...relief
