Greetings All,
I finally got fed up with my ’83 RGS running like
$&@ so I recently rebuilt the carbs and installed a Sachse ignition. Between the poor instructions and my “limited” electrical skills, that took a while but the bike (finally) runs great.
In doing the work, I removed and refitted the tank several times. Now the tach, fuel gauge and temp. gauges are non-op. Before I remove the tank AGAIN and start tracing wires, is there a ground (or anything else) common to all 3 instruments or did I just muck-up 3 separate systems doing the work? I know the Sachse box has a lead that drives the tach but I was pretty careful in ID-ing that circuit and connecting everything. I also made sure the fuel sender plug is connected (under the rt. front part of the tank).
Thanks for your thoughts.
