Dell PHF Float Bowl Differences

Sorry for the bad quality pics, but I think the difference is visible.
Working on a float bowl leak issue at the moment.
Left bowl is from a 32 PHF, the right bowl from a 36 PHF.
Carbs are just examples, not the issue I'm currently chasing.
Both float bowls are interchangable, but differ in design at the bottom.
Wondering why they differ from each other.
And yes, I've put in a new correct spec OEM Dellorto kit O-ring and sealing washer on the float bowl nut!

I cannot be sure but I had a 1992 model Husky 350 4 stroke Dirtbike that had a Delordo as standard. Those early models had a bowl that had no external overflow if you tipped the bike over and that would flood the motor making them hard to start. You could buy a bowl from 2000 that had passages and hose connections that would overflow out of the carb so it wouldn't flood when tipped over. Maybe that's the difference. You could also get at least 2 different sizes nuts that held the bowl on, one of those nuts had a way bigger internal hollow that the main jet sat in.
 
Gerald, there were various changes in the float bowls over the years, mainly in regard to the central nut and the jet holder. If the appropriate bits are swapped as well, the bowls will interchange without issues.

You have 2 different main jet holders in your pics, one has a recessed jet, the other doesn't. The recessed jet works with the flat central nut (or the deep nut), the non-recessed requires the deep type nut.

For those who search info on float bowls in the future - and fwiw - the non recessed mainjet and deep nut are the best to use in an application where there is sideways G on the carb. Karts, cars, sidecar applicationa and similar. Keeps a puddle of fuel around the mainjet.
