Okay ... every exploded diagram imaginable for the VHB30 on the internet.

But nothing shows me the shape of the cable nipple/fitting that fits in the slide.

Is it just a regular throttle/choke cable nipple ?

It looks like it could a cylindrical fitting in the face of the slide through which the cable engages.

The joys of assembling bikes from bits.

It?ll be a standard cylindrical nipple (3mm?), have a look in under the slide to where it fits.
Any place that has cable kits can supply them.
 
It was the cross-drilled hole in the slide face that had me wondering if something should go in there.

As opposed to hooking the cable nipple directly in the slide slot.
