G'day gents,
Is there a recommended DMC 2 curve setting for general road use? I have been using #2 since fitting the system to my RGS about ten years ago.
Cheers

I'm in bed, my manual is in the garage and I don't remember numbers well. I believe the general consensus is curve 10 or A on the little dial thing. I can check tomorrow if those who just know don't respond. Or try the search function.

With a stock engine, stick to the 32? full advance.  Choose a curve to suit your riding style, ie, steeper curve-power comes in more aggresively, flat curve-soft power.  All curves top out at around 4500rpm latest, so it's just the mid-range that is affected.

Higher compression and/or dodgy fuels may call for slightly more or less advance, listen for pinking, or do some dyno runs.  High speed knock is inaudible and very dangerous for the engine, but should be detected on a dyno as a sudden significant drop in power.
