Even Uwe Witt installed exactly this kit to my bike, I didn?t got a subject instruction yet - thanks for posting it!

Alongside with the updated DMC/32 application with a new single-pickup trigger there are also improved charging coils with higher electrical output.
So maybe it?s worth to mention, that Uwe recommends the use a regulator instead of the OEM-rectifier for the battery charging control.

On my bike he installed a Shindengen SH530-12  3.1:

Uwe is very keen to update the solo rectifier to a quality regulator/rectifier. I would presume most long distance riders will have made the change.

Uwe's notes on testing the new dual charging coils:

A regulator is a must with this two high output coils. Or,....do you like to kill your battery and electronics??? Of course  no!!!

We had a run with this generator output through a rectifier only (all was mounted in a CNC lathe being watched both battery voltage level and charge current)

After a few minutes at 4000 rpms a 18 Amp battery (Harley Davidson battery) came up to over 17 Volt and began to heat up.

Very nice installation plate, Jo. Is it from Uwe or did you do that?

Not sure though if it wouldn't be better to install the regulator somewhere in the air-stream for better cooling? Or at least make sure the battery does not get to close to the stainless plate, it might get quite hot.
 
My guess is those slots in the plate and the road wind will keep things cool enough. If regulator heat is a concern, use a Mosfet regulator. They dont even need those cooling fins with our 200 watt +/- enhanced charging systems.

That big (suspect alu) mounting plate will prove a very useful heatsink in itself (ask any long suffering Honda owner - on my Honda's I used similar over-sized plates and even put a bit of thermal compound in between to increase conductivity).
