DMC32 installation question

I'm putting a DMC32 into my RGS Corsa. It came with English instructions from Wolfgang but it seems to me contradictory.

The wiring diagram provided shows the red wire going to the positive terminal on all three coils then to the ignition switch, ok so far. It then shows the white wire going to negative terminal on the coil for the left cylinder, the grey wire going to the negative terminal for the middle and the brown wire going to the right coil and then on to the tachometer.

The written instructions concur for the red wire and the grey but says white goes to the left and right coils and the brown just goes to the speedometer!!!

So I'm quite happy that the "speedometer" mention is a typo and it is actually the tacho.

I would also assume that grey is correct but the white should go to the left and right coils and that the brown is just for the tacho. Is this correct?

Below is the wiring diagram supplied for reference.

cheers, Tony

Grey, white and brown all supply their respective coils with igniton impulses. You should find a green/grey(?) wire connected to one of the coils, this is the tach feed and can be re-used, refer to the factory wiring diagram. It does not actually matter to which coil this is attached.

Use the negative battery terminal for black/ground.

It seems to me your written instructions apply to the 180° models, these only have 2 ignition channels, one being shared by LH and RH cylinders.

Thanks Piet, very helpful.

you prompted me to have a look at the factory wiring diagram and compare it to the diagram above whilst taking into account your comments, it makes more sense now. I found the grey/green wire as well.

The written instructions infer they are for both 180 and 120 but I suspect now that you are correct.
