Do UK Laverdas Get Ridden?

Mine does!
6,000 miles since Jan '20, during which travel has suffered some restrictions.
We've seen six, and more, at our local South London/Kent/ Surrey/Sussex weekly meet up.
We've even had one win a prize at the Annual Bike show, there.
In fact since the re-opening of the pub recently Laverdas have accounted for half the bikes there.

You had to start him off (Perry) didn't you Hamish!........he will never let me live this down that on the day the "Unfaired" Jota was obviously the judges choice......goes on and on about it like a warped record 😂

Now, now, Girls! Stop bickering and get on with enjoying this lovely weather.
Maybe, if you turned up at The Huntsman tomorrow evening, we could re-run the judging,... ;)

Matt you need to get out to one of the meets - plenty of Laverdas on the road if you know where to look ;) i rotate all three
I can't think of a reason why I would want to! I'm just wondering why, amongst all the Guzzis, Ducatis, Morinis of the 70s and 80s that were present, there wasn't a single Laverda. There was some glorious kit from that period though. A_crop.JPG

I pick the one place with 100% certainty of pedants.
Murphy's Law... :D
We're in the depths of a Tasmanian winter. Pedantry is the only sport I can enjoy where I can stay warm.

Here's a joke that references the law of averages. Some folks probably won't get it.

When a statistician passes the airport security check, they discover a bomb in his bag. He explains. “Statistics shows that the probability of a bomb being on an aeroplane is 1/1000. However, the chance that there are two bombs at one plane is 1/1000000. So, I am much safer…”

Statistics to a statistician are like lamp posts to a drunk man, they provide support and not illumination. ( or something like that ).

a long time ago, I knew a constantly constipated mathematician, he always worked it out with a pencil.
CLEM

A biologist, chemist and a statistician go on a hunting trip together.
They spot a deer and the biologist takes aim fires and misses two feet to the left.
The chemist takes aim and fires and misses two feet to the right.
The statistician shouts out "We got him".

BTW Sods Law will always outwit and defeat the Law of Averages everytime.

In the UK you have very many on the road compared to here in the USA. Since my first bike in 1976 (Yamaha RD250) I have seen Laverda's on the road.................

About 1978 a silver Jota.

Local Laverda club ride in about 2004.

The Laverda rally here in California in 2006.

Last October, Dave on his Jota.

So in 45 years of riding, I have only seen Laverda's on the road four times. This in spite of the fact that California was Laverda's biggest market in the USA.
