Hey Drikko,
That was an interesting site to check out. Beautifully built models. Wish I had clients that had the dosh to built toys like that.
Unfortunately most of my clients were architects and most of them were wankers expecting everything yesterday and changing details at the last minute. Too many all nighters to meet deadlines really spoil the enjoyment of making some of the models.
Engineering models were the best paid and without deadlines. Product design models were the most interesting and working on the movies and advertising was the best fun apart from the egos one had to deal with, but also well paid.
As far as aviation goes, most memorable, once made a pair of glasses for Dame Edna with a jet liner theme and a interior competition model for Airforce1. Oh yeah a half size thingy that got hung in the atrium of a shopping centre in Hong Kong. Probably some other stuff that I can't remember too.
Love the shots of Lord Howe Island, Spent a few days there once sailing from Sydney to Auckland. Sailed pass Ball's Pyramid on the way,
what a fantastic bit of rock in the middle of nowhere.
Cheers
Rob
