E5 and E10 petrol

I was watching a Utube vid last night on building a Ferrari race car and heard an interesting comment re Ethernal. His take was Ethnol was fine, its the other crap that goes in to bulk the profits up like Tolerin etc. We had similar in Oz when Unleaded first arrived with lowlifes doing similar up on a local scale. This apparently is industry-wide these days, Aledagaly.

Does anybody know what material the O-rings and the inlet stubs of the RS Mikunis are made of?

cheers

Alex

probably normal rubber, if you need some, Viton seals should be ethanol proof.

recently cleaned the carbs on a zx9 the pilot jets are 0.35mm diameter, they were all blocked with hard oily muck, bike was left for a few months and had to ultrasonic clean and use boiling water to melt. best steer clear, I only recommend BPUltra or Shell VMax in bikes now.

What it proves is that you don't leave a bike for a few months without draining the carbs though I've never had a petrol related problem with any of my bikes and I never drain the fuel. I only use supermarket fuel, none of that posh stuff.
