EGLI 750

Nice looking bike, similar frame type to the one I'm currectly re-building.

I would have expected neater cable/brake line routing from an aircraft engineer though...

Why the fuck do people paint caliper’s. And too lazy to pull them apart so paint the caliper half bolt’s🙁🙁
Tom
An indication on just how "well" the whole bike is put together?

The underlay for the side stand also indicates the bike will lean at a truely crazy angle without it.

I actually like the Norton proddy racer seat unit, a nice change to the boxy SFC stuff.

boring old stock twin shock rear and front forks

maybe I had better be quiet or people will come round and rob my unused/needing recommission, Clegbiverdason

I think this is the ex-British American race bike, that had a lot of history, which in my opinion much of it has been lost by this rebuild. It’s another reason why I am committed to starting a trust fund to buy historical Laverdas and preserve them in the guise that makes them worthy for protection so that future generations can also appreciate the role Laverda played in the development of the modern sports bike.

The bike formerly owned by Chris Cutler and then Bob Dixon was claimed to be the BR-AM machine, with its original SFC engine.

This bike is purported to be the bike raced by Peter Bates in the 1974 IOM TT. If so, that was a BR-AM Egli Laverda. So how many BR-AM Egli Laverdas were there?
