Electrickery question

I don't reckon I'd bother fitting any fancy lights to a bike though. I try to avoid riding after dark.
I get the impression Paul wants these blazing lights to be seen by oncoming cars, such is the rate of his 'closing speed'. Correct me if I'm wrong Paul. The bike will be insanely fast, but surely you can't use all of that performance often enough on public on highways to need the lights? I'd be interested in hiding from the cops!!

when I mention closing speeds I am interested in making sure that anyone I may come upon from behind notices me in their mirrors before I reach them. It can be very startling for a driver to be unexpectedly passed at a very large speed differential if they are not even aware they are about to be passed. I don't want a startled driver doing anything stupid. Strobing two pairs of very bright LED driving lights is also another way of attracting notice. Also, for oncoming traffic, if they see me coming, they are less likely to pull out to pass until I have passed by, hopefully.....

That doesn't make logical sense to me Paul. You're supposed to have your headlights dimmed for oncoming traffic or when you're following another vehicle. Other drivers should never be exposed to your full brilliance.

I know this is a radical idea, but perhaps it would be safer to limit yourself to legal speeds at night.

It might be similar to my intense addition to modifications. Once I get an idea good bad or indifferent I worry it to death till it happens. I find it more cathartic than pondering the universe in general. It's a bit of fun as well. Every bike I have ever owned has been modified to death mostly for the good.

Personally, if I come up on a vehicle with an important speed differential, I slow down rather than expect the driver of said vehicle to see me. And I pass when I'm more or less sure that he's seen me.

I think it is a great idea Paul. On several occasions I have passed bikes from behind when traveling at an elevated speed and the reaction tells me there has been a rapid evacuation of the bowels of these bike riders. A strobe light in the RV mirror may alert some of them to what is about to happen!

I doubt the ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE will be able to catch you even if they see you coming with those bright lights shining. Their trusty steeds won't be fast enough.
