Steve

He's on here as Eric and I have sent him a pm through the forum....thanks for looking 👍

I have tried to contact Eric Leach (Eric on the forum) but to no avail...I have phoned messaged, messenger messages, messenger phoned but he will not answer.
He did not answer my previous post about trying to contact him on this forum.
He has been on a few times and seen it, so now I'm left with no alternative but to inform other people about his treatment of me and the bike I bought from him.
The following is the PM I sent to him on this forums PM system, and I have had no reply.
He has had more than enough time to address this situation but he refused to engage with me.
So people this may save you a lot of money in the future I know this whole situation has cost and caused me a lot of money and stress
Thanks.

Eric
I have been trying to contact you regarding the Laverda 1200 Mirage that you sold me, under false pretences....You told me you did not repair the frame, that the guy you bought it from, a police officer had it done when you got it, and it was professionally repaired as he was very particular about things like that...then low and behold I find this post from you on laverda forum from 2009..i quote directly from it

"I bought it off a police motorcycle training cop,I did not know it had a twisted frame, was not set up correctly, and had various non laverda parts....I was as happy as a pig in shit"

I an very unhappy with you and with this bike. You have misled and lied to me from the start about the bike ,it's condition, and how long it had been lying up, the last MOT was 2012/2013. I also think you have taken parts from the bike for your laverda 120 build, when it arrived here the cam chain tensioner was missing, the starter motor was missing which I knew about but your excuse for it being missing was that it burnt I asked you was it because of the starter relay sticking and you first said you didn't know then you said it over reved due to the starter clutch not disengaging, this cannot be true as the starter motor I purchased separately and fitted to the bike to do a compression test will not engage the starter clutch due to all 6 springs being broken in the plungers of the starter clutch, then there is the top and bottom 12mm shock bolts on both shocks had been removed and replaced with 10mm bolts which where hand tight and you said you knew nothing about them, well they didn't change and loosen themselves. The engine is also not at all mechanically sound and requires an engine rebuild. On a leak down test 5 of the 6 valves are passing and number 3 cylinder inlet valve is not seating at all you said it was running fine when you laid it up apart from the starter motor issue, it most definitely was not..that's impossible as the starter clutch was not engaging due to all of the springs being broken, then there is the petrol tank completely rotted out inside and chunks of petseal flaking off inside it again you knew nothing about that...I trusted you 100% with your description and pictures you sent me of which I have no idea of when they where taken and you took serious advantage of the fact I was in Ireland and with covid and my upcoming cancer operation.I want my money refunded to my bank account including the ?270 transport cost...i will organise the return of the bike and V5 to you when this is complete...you can trust me as I have always been 100% up front with you in our dealings and mistakenly expected the same from a fellow mature biker....i am a man of honour my word is my bond.
You need to contact me regarding this or I will be forced to take this further and neither of us want that.

Still no word from the spineless thieving  horrible  Eric, you know I'm looking for you and I know you have seen this post....he won't answer his home phone, mobile phone or answer SMS messages...covid isn't going to last forever....and I don't let things go....you have robbed from the wrong person here....I will meet up with you....you can count on that....you can't hide forever.
So everyone in the laverda scene....this man is to be avoided at all costs....I learned this the hard way......Eric  little apples always grow again....see you soon

I have been receiving complaints from various forum members about this thread started by "Spondon".

After biting my lips, and calming down, here's my version. This guy posted on another site, that he'd just sold a bike, and was looking for a Laverda PROJECT.l contacted him, and said I'd got a Mirage PROJECT l sent half a dozen pictures and sent another five or six later, l also did a walk around video. These pictures were the same ones I'd sent to three other people who were interested, one respected member came to see it.The second guy, another respected member, gave me some excellent advice,'don't send pictures of all the 'good' bits, l want to see all the crap so l can assess how much I'd have to spend' The Irish guy and l, exchanged words, and he said, " l want a PROJECT, l don't want a perfect bike, l want all the dings and dents, scrapes and scratches, l want a PROJECT where l can leave it like it is, do up the engine and ride it around for while" l wanted ?4000, he offered ?3250, sorry, no. I'll up it to ?3500 he says. I want at least what l paid for it , which was ?3600. What's a ?100 he said, and we touched elbows, virtually on face time. The bike was running when l laid it up, but the starter motor was fried,of course l didn't ride the bike with the shocks undone, the simple explanation is that l changed the shocks to Nitrogen filled ones, because of my weight, and put the originals back on when the guy came to see it, l then forgot to do them up, l also didn't put the grabrail on , but I'd got it and sent it with some more bits, side stand, centrestand, and a new silencer that the end had blown out.(l also included two bottles of my homemade wine, which he didn't thank me for, it did taste like Camelpiss though, l must admit) This Project bike, had, a straightened frame, resprayed headlight, completely restored clocks, completely rewired, electronic ignition, aftermarket rearsets, bushman stand, and a powdercoated frame. This Project bike didn't have a starter motor, he knew that, how would l know the sprag clutch was toast if there was no starter motor on it? I don't understand his derisory ' pig in shit' comment, of course l was happy, I'd just bought my first Laverda, l didn't know the frame was twisted, how would l? Every person in the Laverda world knows how expensive they are to fix up, when does a PROJECT not become a PROJECT? When it gets expensive? I have been told, and it's been pointed out to him, that if he parted it out, he'd get more than ?5000 for it, in fact he's already asked whether anyone would like to buy his frame and cases.... After all the bile and vitriol that's been meted out to me, he's had the nerve to text me, ' when covids over, we'll have a coffee' OH NO WE WON'T MATE that's it for me, I'm done with Laverdas, and I'm done with motorcycling, the first bike I've ever sold,, as a PROJECT, and this is how it's ended. Anyone who knows me, know I'm a straight taking bloke, l have not intended to deceive, or tell lies, l told him everything l was aware.of, and he got a Mirage PROJECT at a fair price, l will leave the forum, I've not read much about this on here, it would just make me seethe. I'm truly sorry he's disappointed with the PROJECT he bought, good luck to him.
