A long time since that bike saw a track, needs something to keep the rims off the ground wheeling it around.hochkoenig said:Ok, somebody used a Drilling machine, how many gramms are saved?
A Racebike with those tyres?

Definately not production run SFC1000 rear calliper mounting. It has similarities but the calliper was to the right of the mounting bracket and underslung the disc.Jukebox Gothic said:From what I can gather the frame is a Verlicchi CrMo one made for owners to convert their road bikes hence mounts for stands. Cut them off if you want. I suppose Eades didnt think it necessary. It has a number, "RGS/1" and the DGM number. The swing-arm is marked "Race use Only". The frame is unpainted. I don't know how many of these were made. Maybe just this one. The others I have seen were for non rubber mounted engines. The engine has 36mm carburetors and a three into one exhaust. Forks are Paioli 38mm and the wheels are Campagnolo. Yes the tyres are not race tyres but are decent rim protectors. The fairing and side-panels are glass fibre and very light. I thought the rear caliper mount was the same as an SFC1000 but I might be wrong.
I still haven't decided what to do with it as I rally just wanted to get back on a Laverda again. The lock down has slowed my momentum as well.. I'll post again in the future expecting the same quality reply's ?

Looks similar to but different from the SFC1000 item. It appears as though the bracing in front of the wheel is curved, not straight? Article written back in the day said the factory race shop were experimenting with alloy swingarms for their TT1The swing-arm is marked "Race use Only".
Not heard that before or encountered it in the UK. Surely unlikely given that the factory was on its knees when the SFC1000 was produced? A limited number of Cro-Mo frames were produced for the TT1 replica production race bikes sold to a few dealers. Apparently some were left on the shelf and one or more sent out mistakenly as stock frame spares in the dying days. :'(My brother owened a 1000 SFC and when he bought it he was told it has a Cro Mo frame. We never checked it but there were some made on request,
