EXHAUST 3 -1 FINNED FLANGE.

Not sue that's important enough with a non standard 3/1.
Tube diameter might be though.
Can the tubes be taken out of the collector?

Hi Paul.
The tubes are attached and cannot be removed, the outer diameter is 38mm.

With non-removeable headers, you'll need split rings to go inside the finned collars. You'll probably have to open up the bore of the collars to go over the ends of the headers and machine a recess for the split rings.

I was looking for something specific that would prevent me from doing that.

The 500's and some SOHC 750's used the half rings and recessed flanges and factory 3 into one's. Try Slaters in the UK - Regards - Phil

Early 750s have 35mm tubes, the 500 is 40mm and I seem to remember the factory 3/1 being 40mm as well.
As long as you've access to a lathe, anything collar be modified.

I don't see how that would be possible with non-removeable headers. Unless you cut the headers off the collector, slide the collars on, then weld the headers back on.
