Exhaust for 1200TS

Hi Guys I have a series 1, TS 1200 mirage and I am wondering if the jota front downpipes and collector box will fit this 180 engine and frame

Yes it will, as will the exhaust for the RGS/120's which has a defined "straight" section for the downpipes between the two bends, rather than a variable radius all the way to under the engine.

The other way around does not work, i.e 180 exhaust downpipes on a 120.

series 1 1200TS's are quite rare whats the serial number of yours, they atarted at 2602, mine is 2608.

120? headers do not fit 180? frames, unless you put up with the silencers sitting at a crazy angle and the centrestand clanging against the collector box.  You correctly state 180? headers won't fit the 120?, because they are shorter in the downward part and would collide with frame rails and engine case.  The reverse conclusion must be that the 120? headers are too long for 180? applications.

Hi grant that exhaust looks nice,where did you get the Brembo caliper mounting brackets and what discs are they, and is that an original headlight or after market

Headlamp is original. Wheels and discs are from a GSXR Suzuki. Caliper adaptors from Redax.
 
sorry Piet I used 120 headers on TOG (series 1 1200TS and a 180) for years with no issues. At one time I liked the look of the straight header pipes and the straight frame tubes at the front, but now I prefer the curvy pipes of the 180, not that they show very much on a TS.

I was once told by a Laverda UK professional that all three front pipes are the same on all models, yes, no difference between, left middle and right or 180/120. he stopped trading many years ago!

Years ago, when my 3C header pipes were being rechromed, I attempted to fit a set of RGS header pipes.

No matter how I tried, I was not able to get them aligned with the standard Laverda collector, silencers and mounting brackets.

now then Rob, you must know that I do not even posses a toffee hammer, they were 120 headers and 120 collector,
no issues, looking for a photo.
