Exhaust manifold gaskets

Not in Oz Marty - but I'm having these made in the uk - will be a couple of weeks before i should get them. they are a sandwich of two steel plates with a fibre filling - will take up to 650?C of heat. They crush down slightly to about the same as the original copper rings. The Suzuki ones look OK - but, apart from the cost, the thickness may give difficulties to some when initially fitting the exhaust roses.  I've been running them in one of my bikes for a while now - no problems! They'll be ?1.60p each - with reductions for multiple items and a non exorbitant dispatch cost - will give final prices when I've got them Regards - Phil

And Honda fours of some description I think.

Honda four gaskets are smaller diameter. I used one in an emergency once by hammering it down over the tapered neck of a glass coke bottle to stretch it. I found the bottle on the side of the road. Litterbugs can sometimes be useful :D

Marty, I have heaps of Laverda exhaust gaskets if you need some. They're the usual copper + fibre type (non-asbestos). I doubt that Australia Post will get them to you before you leave on your Tassie trip, but I can give them to you when you're here.

I've used aftermarket  copper Honda Cb 750 Four (K0-K7) exhaust gaskets on the OEM Laverda header pipes. They fit without any issues. I think Cam may have used a CB 350-550 gasket, which has a smaller inner diameter. In the past I also used Honda CB450N gaskets, but these seem to have vanished from the aftermarket supply sources.

I was told it was a Honda K series 750 gasket by the bloke who found it in his tool box and donated it, but who knows? You could be right.
