Exhaust systems

This might interest some Aussie owners.

There's a small business in Tasmania called Verex Motorcycle Exhausts that makes beautiful custom exhaust systems. Here's the website https://verex.com.au/

While he describes it as a "family business" it's really just one man making the exhausts. Perhaps other family members help out by answering the phone or making coffee. Anyway, I've seen his work and it's absolutely top notch. Beautiful welds, smooth bends, fit the bike perfectly, sound great, etc. They're the best exhaust systems I've ever seen. If I was in the market for an exhaust, I'd definitely be giving him a call.

I haven't had any dealings with the guy myself, but I've spoken to people who have had systems made by him and he's apparently a good bloke to deal with.

As far as I'm aware, he hasn't made a Laverda exhaust yet. But that's not surprising because he's only been in business since 2017 and I guess no Laverda owner has been knocking on his door yet. He reckons he wants to expand his range of products, so it sounds to me like an opportunity for someone to get a quality system made for their Laverda.

I'm keen to see his version of a Laverda exhaust system but I don't actually need one myself. So if anyone is interested in approaching him about an exhaust system for a Laverda triple, I'd be happy to offer my Jota as a mule for fitting it up.

Cheers,
Cam

Hi Cam, what about anybody down south willing to provide a 750 for him to make a 750 SFC style system ?

I've spoken to him a couple of times in 2019 and 2020, but not unreasonably he wants a bike to make sure its AOK. Driving down from Sydney, ferry accross and back and then driving back adds a lot of $ to cost, making a system from a reliable source Europe far cheaper, but if taking a holiday on your apple isle while he works his magic cost comes right back.

Verex make some very tasty systems for modern Triumphs and he was interested in replicating our 1919 Triumph exhaust as long as he had the bike to work with.

Hi David. I have a couple of friends with Breganze twins. One is a fairly early humpback tank SF with drum brake, the other is a disk brake model, it's either an SF2 or SF3.

The SF2/3 only lives about 2km down the road from Verex and I'm pretty sure they know him, so I reckon they'd be a good prospect. I'll make some enquiries on your behalf and get back to you. In the meantime if you can PM me your email address I'll put you in contact with the potential bike donor.

Cheers,
Cam
