extended clutch arm

hello folks,

I am working on a cattle trucked sprocket cover, bringing it back from the DPO,I am cutting the top for a slot, (it was already hacked out by blunt panel saw and snapped out!) welding up a serious crack near the access hole and have made a disc and welded that into the hole as well, I am fitting a Coxy s/s extended arm, with s/s higher cable bracket, and the whole thing is getting spoiled by the rusty (was plated) cable stirrup and clevis pin, this is my question,

does anyone know the source of these components in s/s, I can find s/s clevis pins, and I can find s/s stirrups, but none with the pear shaped slot for the cable nipple to rest in, any ideas anyone? looking for 25 of, or so.

Hi Clem. , give these guys a call.  They can do anything.  I have used them in the past for things , motorcycle unrelated , but if you want it they can do it.

When I made my second bling clutch cable attachment for the extended lever for the SFQ I decided to make a few extras. I have sold 2 of the four I made and will sell the last two to whoever wants to pay big for bling. They took me a LOT of work on the lathe-cum-milling machine to create. Even sourced stainless cap screws from the UK (to Oz) in 8x1mm thread to attach to the case.

Won't sell the complete kits for less than AUD$120 each. (alloy extended with clutch cable 8x1mmm thread is set at the correct angle). Still yet to decide what material to make the 'clevis pin' out of. It's an M3 or M4 thread I've put in there and takes a countersunk allen head. I think I bushed mine to add surface area and strength, which meant drilling out the hole in the extended arm (easy job). had that setup on my bike for decades with no trouble. Looks a whole lot fancier than the general rusty bent steel stuff we usually use for the job.

So I haven't got the 25 you need, Clem!

Each one lovingly sculpted from an ingot of unobtanium, using only a nail file, Rob ...  :-* . Of course, a CNC setup woulda been noice ...
 
very, very nice indeed! I like it a lot, but I want the folded metal type , which I think I can now obtain in stainless, but I will have to drill and file a slot for the cable ends, don't really want to do that, just want to buy in, but hey ho !

an no I wont be grinding and polishing off the welds, just proper polishing all over, it is welded inside and out.

Surely the answer is to CNC laser cut the flat ss plate c/w fixing pin holes and cable cutout and then fold to shape?
